LiMn Batteries

As lithium manganese batteries are shaping up as a major end use for the high purity electrolytic manganese dioxide (EMD) that can be produced using the HiTec leach process, HiTec is undertaking ongoing research to understand the particular requirements of lithium manganese technology battery makers so that its processes can better serve their needs.

As part of this learning process HiTec has entered into a distributorship arrangement with Ultralife batteries Inc of the USA. Under the arrangement HiTec is seeking opportunities for the use of light weight lithium manganese batteries in future versions of hand held specialty tools used in the resources industry; a task that will assist the company to better understand both the battery maker and the end users performance needs from the EMD contained.
